Insurgency Pictures was a film production company that created TV commercials and corporate films.

Independent Consultant, San Francisco, CA, October 1999-April 2000
Worked as a consultant for IDG Books' Internet Group, ShopEco.com, and Insurgency Pictures.

Director of Marketing, Director of International Sales, & Sales Manager
IDG Books Worldwide, Inc., (Purchased by Wiley, New York, NY in 2001)
Foster City, CA, April 1993-October 1999
IDG Books Worldwide produced branded, how-to books, such as Dummies and CliffsNotes. I specialized in sales and marketing. In 1996, I managed the International Sales Department ($18 million sales). Then for the next two and a half years, I reorganized and ran the Marketing Department. This included selecting and training over 50 people, managing a $15 million marketing budget (FY 99), and helping to sell and market over 65 million Dummies books. The marketing department implemented all phases of a project from concept to art design, to manufacturing, to in-store placement. The departments under my leadership included: advertising, event planning, brand management, channel marketing, in-store merchandizing and promotion, catalog and sales tool design, and product packaging.
